Steve Ray Vaughn - Little Wing
Stevie Ray Vaughn's Little Wing. I miss this man's guitarwork. I can vividly remember watching his Cold Shot video back in 1984 on Channel 66, which used to play music videos all day. It was so much better than MTV

More of this theme. Coyote as performed live by Joni Mitchell, Jaco Pastorius, and Pat Metheny
More good music. Lou Reed and John Cale performing Heroin in Europe 1972. That was a great year to be in Europe for music fans
This is too good for words
I love watching this. It makes me laugh everytime
Now I present you with the normal version, the Forwards version as they say at Harvard.
I guess this stuff is being sold somewhere on a DVD. No prob. I don't post stuff intentionally if they are also offered commercially. I just didn't know."My sweet satan, I sing this song for you." That is one thing you will hear when you play Stairway To Heaven backwards. Go to the part where the drums kick in and Plant sings about bustles in your hedgerow being a work of the May Queen. That's the verse you play backwards to get the sweet satan bit.
Thus, through extrapolation, our protagonist, who was raised a Jehovah's Witness, taught himself how to sing it backwards, then filmed himself singing it in such manner and through contrivances of plot and mechanics, reversed the tape and added such musical narration to complete the 21st century literature I present.
This video is commercially available. Didn't know that when I posted these versions. Visit Jeroen Offerman if you'd like to see a preview of what you could buy.
I love The Digital Archive Project! Go there and you will (eventually) be able to download quite a few commercially unavailabe television shows. I'm gorging myself, slowly, on MST3K. It's relatively safe peer-to-peer trading. No extraneous shit. Just approved checksumed movies.
There are so many episodes I have never, ever seen. Some I have seen over and over and over.
Ahh, the joys of "The Ninja Truck Stop" joke.
So I was watching the teevee, the news was on. Sports, and spring training preseason games for the WORLD CHAMPION CHICAGO WHITE SOX!!!
They showed a clip of the homerun. Past the fence, people were waiting, and I swear one of them was a topless girl. Top right of the screen. I'm 95% sure those are tan lines and nipples, and no bikini top. She also has a slightly embarrased look on her face as she sits down and curls her knees up.
In honor of baseball season on the way and the warm bikini weather to go with it, here goes the clip.
Download the whole mpg here, you perv (28.9 meg .mpg)
And in fine continuation of a theme I present an interview with an old St. John's College classmate, Tony Lagouranis .
When it comes to politics, the media and all that sturff, I don't lecture here. That doesn't mean I don't have strong strong opinions about things, you will see the bias in what I post. But interviews as such are manipulative, and this is our local FOX affiliate interviewing him, so take it as you will. He holds his own well enough for the little traps Suppelsa drops. That's St. John's for ya.
Youtube knocked the audio a little outta sync. Download the whole clip here (60.3 meg .mpg) I'll get a smaller .mov up later. I've got concerts to attend to - Neko Case! Ray Davies! Beth Orton!
more later!
It's my dog Simone! Watch her get mad at me for laughing at her and walk away in a huff.
I present to you just what you need on The Day Of The Foreign Heart, or Valentine's Day: A Mix Tape.
You heard right. A Mix Tape. This one fulfills so many levels of a relationship. First, let's remind you what a tape is.
Ok, now that that is over, let me tell you where I found it. It isn't mine. While I will present some of my mix tapes in the future, I have never, ever been as smitten or stupid to make a tape like this for someone.

Here go some things I haven't been able to stop watching. One is saucy, the other is, er, Hasslehoff.
The Saucy One
The Hasslehoff One
I think I will have more to post later this weekend!
"They don't say please in Israel, alright."
Enjoy! This is the only video I have that is Chanukah related, so don't expect 7 more days of this, you spoiled Jewish people what with your own beanies and beards.
but I will give you a chance to download on the downlow the video for this.

The other videos I have on here are on YouTube and I just embed the code...
This is something Typepad has going on with Videoegg for embedding vids into the blog.
The good thing about the YouTube, is that you can get some outside attention to this space...
ok, let me get to the nitty gritty
Happy Christmas Everyone! Chanukah starts today also! (i've been to more mitzvah's than communions)
and have a New Year with sexy results if I don't talk to you.
A great remix of the original pinball song from The Electric Company.
With a great video to boot.

oh yea.
Pat Suzuki - How High The Moon (5 Meg .mp3)
Some of you might remember this song from the opening scene of Biloxi Blues that starred Matthew Broderick and Chris Walken. He's my uncle so I can call him Chris (ed: we have no idea what he is talking about).
Oddly this version wasn't recorded until 1953 or so, long after the world war WWII. It's my favorite version of the song, as so many other singers give it a nice rollicking beat. Not here. This is one of the laziest musical rolls that could be given this song. It's slow, and that's how it should be. All other versions of this song somehow sound wrong after Pat Suzuki's approach.
I used to have this posted up on Montesol.org, which I removed, but someone wrote me earlier this year looking for a copy for their parent's 50th anniversary. I didn't get the email until months later, and I never replied to her, so I hope this somehow finds her. I'm gonna have to see if I still have that email.
Once you watch this video, you will know who I am talking about:
Encyclopedia Britannica Commercial 2 Meg .wmv
The actor's name is Donovan Freberg and he has some decidedly NSFW blogs out there; one at Demented Tidbits and one at Creamsicle. Both have loads of pron content, so I advise caution around those who have hangups. The blog he has Baby Boy Freberg is good for public viewing though
I think it's badass that someone with such a mulleted beginning can develop into someone just as preverted as I am.
and to take you back to children's chewing tobacco I present a Big League Chew commercial (1 Meg .wmv).
I learned how to chew tobacco from Colorado girls. No jive.
Just some files that you will have fun watching. I know it. Don't lie.
Choco. Party. Good. God! 1 Meg .wmv file - NSFW
The sexiest remote control anything a geek could ever wish for. 22 Meg .wmv
sorry no teenbutt in this post.

If you haven't seen it yet.
Link: calgary flames: 1987 "red hot" video - Google Video.
What The Chicago Bears started with noble intentions in the winter of 1985 at The Park West here in Chicago, The Calgary Flames of 1987 ignobly destroy by having multiple members of the team sing with the same voice and playing a trombone while inhaling.
What is the name of this song and who is it that is singing it?
Who Sings This Song??? (6 meg .wmv)
More good goodness. (33 meg .mov QT 6.0)
I found this off of the director's site, but I dont' know where it is now. There are animated boobies so maybe NSFW.
